Obituary for Shelia Kay Stallings

Sheila Kay Stallings, 62, a resident of Biloxi, MS went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 13, 2019, in her home.
She was born at New Biloxi Hospital on December 5, 1956, to O.C. and Pauline Miller. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by Dr. E.H. Potter at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Biloxi, MS where she was a member of the Junior Choir.

Sheila attended Biloxi Public Schools, played the piano and loved to sing. While in high school Sheila traveled to Washington, DC with Bernard McDaniels’ Meloteen Choir to record “O, Happy Day”. She graduated from Biloxi Senior High School. At 16 years old she attended Jackson State University. On November 26, 1976, she married Airman L.C. Stallings. Two children were born to this union, Marcus Allen Stallings and Monique Alyse Stallings.

Sheila’s work career consisted of a medical technician, hostess (rephrase). She retired from Keesler Air Force Base Exchange Services in August 2019. Sheila enjoyed life. She adored her granddaughter and cherished spending time with her family. Her hobbies were dancing, fishing, crabbing, shopping, and cooking soul food.

She is preceded in death by her parents, O.C. and Pauline Miller and her son, Marcus Allen Stallings.

She is survived by her husband, L. C. Stallings, her daughter, Monique Stallings, and granddaughter, Unity Alyse Aznavour all of Cheyenne, Wyoming; a sister, Regina Wilson (L.C.) of Rockford, IL, two brothers, Otis Curtis Miller, Jr. (Jamie) of El Paso, TX, James Alton Trawick of Pearl, MS; four nephews, Tomago Wilson, Isaiah Miller, Demry Croft, and Ethan Tavrovskiy; three nieces, Shereese LaFaye Croft, Sabiyah Minor (Mike Tavrovskiy)and Crislyn Wilson; a special uncle, Julius Fairley; special cousins, Vanessa Beverly, Christopher Fairley, Vincent Byrd (Brenda), Fredrick C. Fairley, Julian Fairley; and a host of relatives and friends.
