Cheri Jeannine Woods-Garrick

Cheri Woods Garrick began her journey of life on February 19, 1973, in Biloxi, Mississippi to Reola Woods and the late Philip R. Woods, Sr.

She went on to be with the Lord on July 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving husband, Boris Garrick and loved ones. She was the last child of fourteen children.

Cheri gave her life to Christ at an early age and became a member of the Main Street Missionary Baptist Church serving in various ministries.

She was educated in the Biloxi school system and graduated from Biloxi High School. She was employed as a manager in the Environmental Service Department at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino for nine years.

Cheri was a kind-hearted, loving, and considerate person who believed in helping others and touched many lives through her compassion and generosity.

Cheri was preceded in death by her father, Philip R. Woods, Sr., brothers, Brian and Timothy Woods, Charles Fairley, and a sister, Brenda Fairley.

She is survived by her loving husband of fifteen years, Boris Garrick and her stepchildren Jayda and Leighanne Garrick. She is also survived by her mother, Reola Woods, her sisters, Jana (David) Brown, Carla Brown, her brothers Philip R. (Gloria) Woods, Jr., Daryl (Drucilla) Woods, Dr. Vance L. (Zoey)Woods, Frederick Fairley, Carl Fairley, Damien Woods, Rathan (Lola) Woods and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and co-workers.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 11:00 am, at Main Street Baptist Church.
