Ellis Warren, 75, passed away on July 28, 2026, in Gulfport, Mississippi; leaving behind many cherished memories with his family and friends.
He was born on February 24, 1951, in Biloxi, Mississippi. Ellis proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. His military service was an important part of his life, and he carried great pride in having served his country.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, who brought him great joy. He also loved fishing of all kinds and was a devoted fan of the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Twins.
Ellis never turned down a good meal, and everyone who knew him knew how much he enjoyed sweet tea—he could easily drink an entire pitcher by himself at a restaurant. He also loved music, especially Willie Banks' God Is Still in Charge, Lord, You've Been Good, and songs by The Temptations.
Ellis was preceded in death his parents, James Warren and Loretta Fairley-Warren.
Ellis leaves to cherish his memory his children, Marquita (Tevin) Reddix, Derek Reddix, and Scottie (Faye) Reddix; his eight beloved grandchildren, Jahkeyston Reddix (Jah), Derek Reddix Jr., Jadarius Reddix, Scottie Reddix Jr. (Peewee), Marquis Ruffin, James White (Trey), Arianna Reddix, and Linette Bunch (Nette); his siblings James Warren Jr, Samuel Warren, Rachel McCorvey, Wynne (Lathen) Hatfield, Timothy Warren, Thomas (Annie) Warren, Vivian Warren, Mark Warren, Debra (Jean Pierre) Deshauteurs, Richard (Arnell) Warren, and John Warren; and a host of other family members and friends.
Ellis will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his memory will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 11:00 am, at Infinity Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will start at 10:00 am.
