Tiyi A. McClain

Nov 3, 1974 — Jul 13, 2026

D’Iberville

Tiyi McClain, 51, of D'Iberville, Mississippi, peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 13, 2026. Born on November 3, 1974, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, she was the beloved daughter of Rubin Charles Coleman and Glenda Brown Coleman.

Tiyi had a beautiful soul and one of the kindest hearts anyone could ever know. To her, friends became family, and family meant everything. She had a remarkable gift for bringing people together, making everyone feel welcome, cared for, and loved. She found joy in cooking, dancing, and music, and no one ever left her home without a hot meal or, if needed, a place to stay. Helping others came naturally to Tiyi, and even through life's challenges, she remained a source of encouragement, reminding those around her to keep smiling and never lose hope.

Above all else, Tiyi loved the Most High God. Her faith was the foundation of her life and was reflected in the compassion, grace, and unconditional love she extended to others. She found great joy in reading and studying His Word and treasured the quiet moments she spent in the presence of the Most High.

In her later years, Tiyi was blessed to spend her days doing what she loved most as a chef, sharing her passion for cooking with others. She treasured family cookouts, loved thrift shopping with her grandchildren, and found her greatest happiness surrounded by her family and the people she loved most. Those moments—filled with laughter, love, and togetherness—were the ones she cherished most.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rubin Charles Coleman, and her older brother, Eldridge C. Brown.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her mother, Glenda Brown Coleman; her husband, Anthony Charles McClain; her daughters, Myesha Coleman, Aesha Coleman, Alexus Coleman, and Anna Thigpen; her cherished grandchildren, Tray R. Barnes Jr., Nailah Coleman, Kennedi Barnes, Yaiqab Yahawadah, and Keziyah Coleman; her siblings, Ali Coleman, Nabolingi Coleman, and Nefertiti Coleman; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by her love.

Tiyi's legacy is one of faith, servitude, resilience, and unconditional love. Though her earthly journey has come to an end, the love she gave so freely, the lives she touched so deeply, and the memories she created so intentionally will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
