Celebrating 100 years of a Beautiful, Loving, & Blessed Life.
Mother Angeline Youngblood Stewart,
April 4, 1920 - November 24, 2019
Our beautiful Matriarch, Mother Angeline Youngblood Stewart, began her life’s journey in Tylertown, Mississippi. She was born to Green Youngblood and Eva Andrews Youngblood Dedeaux.
She matriculated through the Walthall County Schools and attended Jackson State University. She began teaching afterward.
Mother Stewart was joined in holy matrimony to Cornettel Stewart in 1940. At the time of his passing, they were married for almost 70 years. Soon after their marriage, they ventured down to the Mississippi Coast and built their lives together. There, they accepted Christ together under the leadership of the late Rev. C.L. Lindsey at the historic Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church and served there for over 55 years. Mother Stewart’s acceptance of Christ was fueled by her passion for the Word of God. She was known for her knowledge of the scriptures and great wisdom shared through God’s Word. Mother Stewart was lovingly serving at the New Beginning Church under the leadership of Rev. Thomas Ruffin at the time of her passing.
She was a godly, loving woman. She was 1st Lady and Royal Quality. Mother Stewart was a deaconess, Sunday School teacher, playwright, gardener, baker, great cook and was very health conscious. She was a Proverbs 31 Woman Plus!
Mother Stewart joins into eternal rest her parents, beloved husband, Deacon Cornettel Stewart and beloved sister Jessie Mae Youngblood Johnson.
Remaining to celebrate this legacy and love are: Daughter, Peggy Johnson-Goldsmith; Grand Daughters: Aricka & Angela, and Great Grands: Michael, Kaisha, Armani, Kristen & Shekiynah. She was well loved by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, caregivers, neighbors, and friends, as well as being a mentor and mother to many in the community.
