Vickie M. Pritchett

Vickie Marie Pritchett, age 59, a resident of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at her home on February 2, 2026, from natural causes.

Vickie was born on July 15, 1966, in Greenville, Mississippi, to the late John W. Ward and Mildred Ward. She later made the Mississippi Gulf Coast her home, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

On September 19, 2012, Vickie was united in marriage to John Pritchett, with whom she shared a devoted and loving bond.

Vickie spent her working career in the banquet and catering industry, where she was known for her dedication and hardworking spirit. In her free time, she found joy in the simple things—being outdoors, enjoying nature, spending time near the water, and relaxing with a good book. She especially loved reading novels by her favorite author, Stephen King. Vickie also enjoyed music and could often be found listening to timeless classics from Teena Marie, Luther Vandross, Prince, and Anita Baker. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family and loved ones.

Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, John W. Ward and Mildred Ward, and her brother, Joseph Selmon.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, John Pritchett; her sisters, Linda Selmon, Annette Ward, and Joann Rivers (Michael); her sister-in-law, Ruby Selmon, widow of Joseph Selmon; her children, Crystal Ward, Raven Ward, and Deon Ward; her stepchildren, LaDarius Pritchett (Lynetta) and Penny Pritchett; her grandchild, Solomon Hall; her step-grandchildren, Nehemiah Pritchett, Nakaiyah Pritchett, Tynia Pritchett, and Tyshawn Spraggins; and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever hold her memory close.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 11:00 am, at Infinity Funeral Home Chapel.
