Tom J. White

Tom J. "TC" White was born on November 4, 1968, on his mother’s birthday to Moses Lee and Doris Hazel White in Los Angeles, California. He was the third child born to Doris. He begins his early years in Los Angeles, California but returns to Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He attended Head Start at Priest Creek, Central Forrest Elementary and Earl Travillion Attendance Center all in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Murphy, Emerson and Vetaw elementary school in Detroit, Michigan. He also attended Reford Cooley and Cody, High Schools in Detroit, Michigan and Petal High School in Petal, Mississippi. He finally Obtained his GED. He attended Pearl River Community College. He had many trades during his career; he was a carpenter, roofer, sheetrock hanger and finisher and a welder.

He was preceded in death by his father, Moses Lee White, Paternal Uncles, Jasper White Jr. Talbert Lee White and Michael White; his maternal Aunts, Susie White, Alice White and Lorene White, Maternal Uncles Curtis Newton, Jr. and Otis J. Newton, His paternal grandfather Jasper White and grandmother Claretha White; Maternal grandparents; Katie Newton, Curtis Newton and Carey Bradford.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife LaWanda Watts White; his children Zabriana (Justin) Howze, Brandon Watts and Juan Beckum; his mother Doris H. White, his sister Merry (Michael) Proffit, his brother Moses L. White, Jr. his sisters-in law Latoya (Carlos) Mayberry and Shanita (Gerry) Grayer; his brothers-in-law Timothy Watts and Brady Watts; his Aunts Victoria Adams (Alvin) Fairley, Ruby Fairley and Hollis L. Hall (Al Carter) and Irene Newton; his paternal uncle Jessie L. White; his nephew Anthony (Jai Mills) Proffit ; his Niece Grace Proffit and grand niece Leya Proffit-Chapple and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, at 1:00 pm.  Visitation will start at 11:00 am.
