Royal E. Brock

Royal Edward Brock was the second born to Royal Edward Brock Sr and Estelle Banks Brock on September 7, 1941. Royal was a loving Husband, a great Father , a great Grandfather, and a loving friend to many others. A fallen Soldier, left this world far too soon on May 4, 2026. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Royal was a beacon of light, illuminating the lives of those around him.

Royal graduated from Phillis Wheatley in 1959 and then entered into the United States Air Force. Serving the country for over 26 years. In the Air Force, Royal served as a Life Support Supervisor & also a Vietnam Vet. His passion led him to start coaching softball, football, and basketball for over 25 years.

After retiring from the military, Royal became a Supervisor for 15 years for the Civil Service.

Royal's smile was infectious, and his empathy touched everyone he met.

He leaves to cherish his memory with his loving wife of 42 years, Charlean Brock. He was preceded in death by his mother Estelle Banks Brock, his father Royal Edward Brock Sr, his Sister Joyce Marie Williams, his brother Fred Brock, his sister Birdie Kyle, and he leaves to cherish one sister Ruby Brock-Moore (Oscar), 7 children ; Lynda Brock, Dwayne (Michelle) Brock, Keith Seymour, Carlton Brock, Royal Brock, Vera Brock, Reginald (Toya) Dedeaux, 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Greater St. John AME Church, at 11:00 am. Visitation will start at 10:00 am.
