Wayne Ross, 80, passed away on May 29,2026. Born on January 9,1946, Wayne lived a life defined by hard work, friendship, and a devotion to his family.
Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Jo Ross; his son Wayne Ross Jr, and daughter-in law, Kelly Ross; and his daughter, Kellie Gradeless, and son-in-law Rusty Gradeless. He was a proud grandfather to Hayley Seymour (Jeff Seymour), Libby Knue (Austin Knue), Trey Brady (Victoria Panagopoulos), and Maddy Ross. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Cheyenne Seymour, Nate Knue, Wyatt Seymour, and Ryker Brady, all of whom brought him immense joy.
Wayne is also survived by his brothers, Stanley Ross and Jerome Ross (Kathy Ross), and his sister, Janice Daams along with numerous nephews and nieces.
In his younger years, Wayne enjoyed catching mullet and spending time on the water. Later in life, he found great pleasure in riding his motorcycle and making memories with family and friends. More than any hobby or pastime, Wayne treasured being surrounded by the people he loved.
Wayne also dedicated more than 40 years of service to Corso Vending where his strong work ethic, guidance, and friendship left a lasting impact on countless coworkers. Through his mentorship, he helped shape the lives and careers of many people who became lifelong friends.
Wayne will be remembered for his generous spirit, unwavering loyalty, and the love he shared with those around him. His legacy lives on through his family, his friends, and the many lives he touched throughout the years.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 11:00 am, at St. John Episcopal Church in Ocean Springs. Visitation will start at 10:00 am.
