Miriam Diannah Hayes Barnes, 48, a resident of Long Beach, MS, passed away, October 4, 2021 Diannah was born in Natchez, MS, on June 20th, 1973. The daughter of late John Kenneth Hayes and Gloria Stine Hayes. Diannah attended Franklin County High School, Class of ’91.9 Diannah also attended the University of Southern Mississippi where she received a Bachelor’s in education. She is also a member of the Sigma Gamma Rho Inc. organization. Diannah spent her working career in multiple school districts along the south of Mississippi. She had an extreme passion for children. She played an ultimate motherly role in many children’s lives. Diannah dedicated a lot of time doing community service with Sigma Gamma Rho Inc. She enjoyed being in the church choir, spending time with her children, teaching everyone’s children, watching movies, supporting the New Orleans Saints, and conversing on Facebook. Diannah was preceded in death by grandmother, Lela Mae Cameron; father, John Kenneth Hayes and one daughter, Brandyce Brielle Barnes. Left to cherish her memories are her mother, Gloria Stine Hayes; fiance’, Todd McCoy; Her children, Alexis Cymone Hawthorne (Bunny Rabbit), Cam’ron Malik Barnes (Boo Bear); Sisters, Juaitan Robinson , Kiyi Aikens; Brothers, Shawn Hayes, Kenneth LaValle Jones, and LaMont Winn, Special friend: Angela Smith. Sorors of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc.; And a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. The family would like to thank each one of you for your support. Funeral Services for Miriam Diannah Hayes Barnes will be held Saturday, October 9th, 2021 at 11:22 a.m, at Springhill Baptist Church.
