Mary Alice Sloan

Mary Alice Sloan, 80, of Gulfport, MS passed away on December 15, 2015, at her home. She was born in McHenry, MS on September 23, 1935 to Clara White and James Ladner. Mary attended Stone County Training School. Mary married Joe Douglas Sloan on July 23, 1953. To this union was born 3 children, Joannie Sloan, Larry (Janet) Sloan, and Marci (Curtis) Sloan. The family moved to California in 1957. Mary was employed by Boeing Aerospace for 25 years, retiring in 2000 and returning to the Gulf Coast. Mary enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and Laughlin on the casino bus trips. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Clara White and James Ladner; and her brother, Clarence Simmons. Mary leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Joannie Sloan, Larry Sloan, and Marci Sloan; her sister, Annie Smith; her brother, Colin Simmons her grandchildren, Janel Watt, Andrea Sloan, and Joseph (Veronica) Sloan; and four great-grandchildren, Sloane Buford, DAnte Sloan, Komari Hill, and Jordan Sloan.
