Mary Louise Jordan

Mary Louise Jordan, 66, a resident of Gulfport, MS, passed away, on June 20, 2022, in Gulfport, MS, at home surrounded by family
She was born in Gulfport, MS, on November 13, 1955, the daughter of Ezra and Bessie Mae Woods.

Mary attended The University of Southern Mississippi and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising. 
Mary spent her working career in Financial Planning working in Mortgage Lending and Credit Counseling. She was selected Best of The Best for mortgage counseling.

She was a licensed deaconess at Faith Tabernacle of Praise in Biloxi (She volunteered in senior citizen feeding ministry, nursing home ministry, member of FTOP Praise Team, Pastor Appreciation Committee, Board Member of CEEJ committee, church secretary, FTOP board member, first financial accountant for WQFX radio station. She enjoyed family gatherings, especially with her grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her sisters, Martha Magee, Mildred Buckley, Susie Woods, Carolyn Sampson, Mary Alice Hawthorne, and brothers, Willie James Woods, and Ledrew Woods.

Mary is survived by her sister Winnie Lee Holloway ‘Big Mama’(Gulfport, MS), her brother Claude Lott (Bay Town, TX), and her sons Renaldo ‘Marcellus’ Jordan, as her personal RN and caregiver (Gulfport, MS), Terrell Jordan (Gulfport, MS), and Nigel Jordan and wife LaShina Jordan (Baton Rouge, LA); and grandchildren Bryce Jordan (Gulfport, MS), Tiernay Jordan (New Orleans, LA), Nigel Jordan, JR, Charlotte Jordan, Victoria Jordan (all of Baton Rouge, LA); Mary’s best friend, Ms. Stephanie Hines and a special thanks to Allecia Kimble, like a daughter to Mary, a whole host of nieces and nephews, and her church, Faith Tabernacle of Praise in Biloxi, MS.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Faith Tabernacle of Praise, at 11:00 am.  Visitation will start at 10:00 am.
