Mary L. Bracey, a beloved homemaker, passed away on August 25, 2023, at the age of 65 in Ocean Springs. Born on January 17, 1958, Mary was known for her good sense of humor, her love for her grandkids, and her passion for cooking for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mary had a special fondness for the Christmas holidays. She enjoyed decorating her home with festive cheer and creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for family and friends. The joy she found in these moments radiated from her heart and brought smiles to the faces of those around her.
Thanksgiving was another cherished occasion for Mary. Gathering with loved ones around the table to share laughter, stories, and delicious food held a special place in her heart. Her warmth and love made every Thanksgiving a memorable event filled with gratitude and appreciation.
Mary's love for spending time with her family extended beyond the holiday season. One of her favorite pastimes was going on vacations with them and traveling to visit her kids and grandkids. These trips created lasting memories that will forever be treasured by those fortunate enough to have shared them with Mary.
Apart from creating beautiful memories with her family, Mary had a passion for casinos. She enjoyed the thrill of the games and enjoyed crab leg buffets. She also enjoyed conversations with her sisters, often spending time catching up on local events. Mary had a kind and generous heart. She would open her heart and home to help family.
A true animal lover, Mary had an immense affection for dogs especially her fur-daughter, Daisy. Her loyal companionship brought an immeasurable amount of joy into her life. She would often shower her with love and care, creating a bond that went beyond words.
Mary's proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her three children: Christy, Latrice, and Charles. As a mother, she poured out all her love and support into raising them to be wonderful individuals. Her dedication and unwavering commitment to her children's happiness and success have left a lasting legacy.
Mary married Ray Charles Bracey in January of 1981, and together they built a life on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Mary's decision to move to the coast after marrying Ray showcases her brave spirit and willingness to embark on new adventures.
The memory of Mary's beautiful soul will forever linger in the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy defined by love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.
Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Mary's life at various events. The viewing will take place on September 1, 2023, at Infinity Funeral Home on 184 Main Street in Biloxi, MS from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. On September 2, 2023, a visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Mt Moriah Baptist Church on 79 Church Street in State Line, MS, followed by a Celebration of Life service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
Mary L. Bracey touched the lives of many with her compassion, kindness, and zest for life. She will be forever remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. May her spirit continue to shine brightly as we cherish the memories she has gifted us with.
