Martin Luther Madison, Jr. of Ocean Springs, MS. went to his Eternal Home to be with God on Monday, September 7, 2020. Martin was born on February 8, 1937, in Jasper County, in Stringer, MS to Ruby and Martin Madison, Sr. He graduated from Jackson State University. While attending Jackson State he met and married Mattie Jones on August 5, 1958. To this union, they had one son Keith Madison who preceded him death. Martin enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1958 where he proudly served for 23 years and retired as a Senior Master Sgt. (E-8). While serving in the military he continued his education and received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska and a Bachelor in Business Administration from Southern University. Deacon Madison is a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church of Ocean Springs, MS., where he served until death. He was a Deacon, Past Chairman of the Finance Committee, Past Director of Christian Education, and faithful member of the Sunday School. He was also an active member of the Masonic Family, where he served as Grand Noble of the Grand United Order of Odd Fellows, Eureka Lodge # 4884, Ocean Springs, MS., a member of the Masonic Order Progressive Lodge #421PHA, Ocean Springs, MS. Words cannot convey a lifetime of wisdom, service, honor, and stewardship or how much he absolutely loved “Mattie, Mat” his wife and the love of his life. He is survived by his dedicated and loving wife of 62 years Mattie Madison, four brothers, three sisters, and a host of family and friends. Funeral services for Martin L. Madison, Jr. will be held Monday, September 14th, 2020 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Ocean Springs. Viewing will begin at 9:00 am and the service will follow at 10:00am. Infinity Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Martin L. Madison, Jr.
