Mark Terry Lipford

Mark Terry Lipford, age 73, passed away peacefully at his home on March 1, 2026.

Terry was born on May 24, 1952, in Elizabethton, Tennessee, to Mark and Allena Lipford. At an early age, he moved with his family to Florida, where he spent much of his younger years.

In 1972, Terry proudly answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force. He served honorably until May 1980 as a Computer Maintenance Specialist with the 2052nd Squadron, developing the technical skills that would shape his lifelong career.

Following his military service, Terry continued working in electronics in Orlando, Florida. His expertise and passion for technology carried him through many years in the field. Later in life, he relocated to Clearwater, Florida, and eventually made his home in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Terry had a deep love for the outdoors, especially fishing. Whether casting a line in freshwater, saltwater, or heading out for deep-sea fishing, he found peace and enjoyment on the water. He was also an avid sports fan, with a special love for football. Having played football during his high school years, he remained passionate about the game throughout his life. He enjoyed following fantasy football and cheering for his favorite teams, the New Orleans Saints and Vanderbilt University.

Those who knew Terry understood he was a man of strong opinions and a stubborn streak, but he also believed in fairness. He was willing to give people the opportunity to prove themselves based on their character and merit.

Although he did not travel extensively, Terry cherished a memorable trip through the Midwest, where he especially enjoyed watching the wide-open sunsets across Iowa and Kansas.

Terry is survived by a daughter and a sister. He will be remembered for his independent spirit, his dedication to his work, and the simple pleasures he found in fishing, sports, and quiet moments of reflection.

He will be laid to rest at Biloxi National Veterans Cemetery, where he will receive the honors due to a veteran who faithfully served his country.
