Mario Debar Smith

Mario Debar Smith was a light in every room he entered—charming, kind, and full of life. Born on September 21, 1998, in Mobile, to Elder Phil Smith and Minister Pamela Smith, Mario was a gifted and thoughtful soul whose presence left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Mario was known for his intellectual curiosity and outgoing personality. A self-taught meteorologist and passionate tornado tracker, he found joy in studying the skies and sharing what he learned with others. He was a true people person—easy to talk to, warm, and welcoming.

An avid fisherman and devoted football fan, Mario embraced life with enthusiasm and appreciation. Despite physical challenges, he never allowed limitations to define him. Instead, his strength, resilience, and radiant spirit inspired those around him, and his smile could brighten even the darkest day.

Mario held a deep love for his faith and those who guided him in it, especially his pastor, Apostle James Wilkerson. He was dedicated to loving others and showed honor and respect to all men of God, living out his beliefs through kindness and compassion.

He leaves to cherish his memory his brothers, Phil Jr. and Phillip Towner, along with a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Mario’s life was a testament to love, perseverance, and joy—and his legacy will continue to shine through everyone he touched.

Funeral services will he held on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 1:00 pm, at Good Deeds Community Center - Gulfport.  Visitation will start at 12:00 pm.
