Levon Kirkwood Jr, affectionately known to family as "Boullion" (derived from bouillon cube), was born in Chicago, IL on October 4, 1988, to Levon Kirkwood Sr. and Gretchen Kirkwood. He was raised in a Christian home and was baptized in Jesus' name at an early age by his grandfather, the late Bishop Joe L. Kirkwood, in Chicago. He departed this life on December 27, 2023. Levon Jr's memorial service commemorates his accomplishments, interests, and the impact his life had on others.

In July of 2001, at the age of twelve, Levon Jr. accompanied his family as they relocated from Chicago, IL to Gulfport, MS where he completed his formal education that began in Chicago. He continued his education in the Gulfport School District, starting at Bayou View Middle and then on to Gulfport High. But Levon Jr. didn't stop there. After receiving his GED at MS Gulf Coast Community College in 2010, he proceeded on to receive a certification as a medical assistant through Blue Cliff College in 2017.

Prior to Levon Jr's passing, he was a newly-hired, hardworking employee at Froogel's grocery in Hardy Court where he was adored by many. Unfortunately, despite all his accolades, Levon Jr experienced "brushes" with the law that resulted in multiple incarcerations. But as in other aspects of his life, he always stood out. Even in the Harrison County Detention facility, he was a model inmate.

Levon Jr leaves to mourn his passing one daughter (his heart) Alayna Marie Roe (aka "Ollie") and her mom Heather Roe; his father, Levon Kirkwood Sr; his mother, Gretchen Kirkwood; two brothers, Brandon (Jeannette) Kirkwood and Bruce Kirkwood; three sisters, Rachael Kirkwood, Jasmin Kirkwood, and Bridget Kirkwood; one nephew, Aidan Edwards, whom he adored immensely; and a huge host of uncles, aunties, cousins, and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will be held in honor of Levon Kirkwood, Jr. on January 17, 2024, at Infinity Funeral Home in Biloxi, MS. The gathering will begin at 3:30 PM and will be followed by a Memorial Service at 4:00 PM at the same location. These events will provide an opportunity for family and friends to celebrate Levon's life and share their cherished memories.
