Johnnie Lee Pace

Johnnie Lee Pace, a hardworking, funny and strong man, passed away peacefully on May 14th, 2023 at the age of 85. He was a proud and loving father who adored his family and cherished every moment spent with them.

Born on April 2nd, 1938, Johnnie lived a long and fulfilling life filled with laughter, love and happiness. He was a true man's man who never backed down from a challenge and always found a way to overcome any obstacle in his path.

One of Johnnie's greatest passions in life was gardening. He loved nothing more than getting his hands dirty in the soil and bringing new life to the earth around him. He had a special connection with animals and loved to be in nature.

Johnnie also had a love for music and was known to sing.  He could make up a song about anything.  His sense of humor was infectious, and he could always make anyone laugh with his quick wit and charming personality. 

He was also an excellent cook who loved to make tea cakes for his family and friends. No matter who he was with, he always made sure everyone felt special and included.

Despite never attending college, Johnnie was incredibly intelligent and resourceful. He always found a way to solve problems and provide for his family without fail.

Johnnie will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of strength, resilience, humor and love will continue to live on through those whose lives he touched during his time with us.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Mercy Seat Baptist Church, at 11:00 am.  Visitation will start at 10:00 am.
