James Edward Woods

James Edward Woods, 58, a resident of Biloxi, Mississippi, passed on September 4, 2021, at Merit Health Biloxi. James was born in Biloxi, Mississippi, on May 11, 1963, the son of John Granberry and Dora Fikes. James attended Biloxi High School in 1981. James spent his working career at the Golden Nugget in Biloxi, Mississippi working for over 31 years, he was a hard worker that believed in providing for his family. James was preceded in death by his father O’Dray Granberry, his daughter Courtney Watson, his aunt, Ida Lindsey, his brother, Kevin Fikes, his sister, Mary Burton Woods, his uncle, Sherman Woods, and his grandchildren Jalinda Stewart and Isaiah Stewart. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Dora Fikes, his daughter Dora Matunda, his sons Ja’mes Edward Woods Jr., James Edward Woods III and Jamari Woods, and his granddaughter Je’Lynda Matunda, his sisters Karen (Murvin) Fairley, Lolita Bradfield, Kili Brown, Rochelle Johnson, his aunt Rene Richburg and a host of relatives and friends.
