James F. Jackson

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James Francisco Jackson, a man of boundless love and dedication. James went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in his Biloxi, MS home.

He was born on November 20, 1968, a beloved son of Jane Graham, and he touched many lives throughout his 57-year journey.

Driven by an unending care for the people around him, James worked hard at everything in his life. He was an incredibly skilled “handyman” and talented musician. He had a passion for helping those around him, frequently expecting nothing but a smile in return. James was also notably spiritual and devoted himself to his faith. The soulfulness that characterized his life translated into lessons he imparted earnestly to all those around him.

One of many left to cherish his memory is his wife, Violet Berrett. Violet and James were married in 2017 and served as warm, guiding lights for each other over their years together.

Among the many milestones of his well-lived life, James marked the year 2001 with immense pride. He became an ecstatic father to his only blood son, Christian Jackson (treasured son also of Victoria Ford). Nothing in this life excited him more than providing Christian with every piece of knowledge, adoration, and spirit he possibly could.

He is survived by his loving children, Christian Jackson, Christina Hayes, and granddaughter Ariana Staten, who inspired him every day. He is also survived by his adoring mother, Jane Graham, along with his sisters, Lorritta Bolling, Regina Jackson, Fran Washington, Angela Bolden, Karen Jackson, and brothers Steven Jackson and Leonard Jackson. James also leaves behind countless other friends and a close-knit family endlessly valued by him.

James’ legacy of selflessness, humor, and diligent faith will be carried forward by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His remarkable life will forever be a testament to the power of passion and the meaningful labor of love. He will be greatly missed and remembered forever.

Funeral services for James Jackson will be held Saturday, May 16, 2026, at DP Nation 810 Division St., Biloxi, MS 39530. Visitation starts at 10:00am, and the service will begin at 11:00am. His burial will be held at Southern Memorial Park: 2076 Beach Blvd. Biloxi, MS 39531.
