Mr. Eugene Allison was born on May 7, 1934, in Livingston, Alabama, to the late Jessie Allison, Jr., and Hattie Leona Jones Allison. He grew up in Bessemer, Alabama, where he attended Brighton High School before beginning a life of service and discipline that would define his journey.
After graduation, Mr. Allison enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving four honorable years before transitioning to the United States Navy. He proudly continued his military career until retirement, embodying strength, order, and dedication to country. Following his service, he worked as a civilian at the Marine Corps Air Station El Toro in California, where he continued contributing to the military community.
Over the years, Mr. Allison lived in several places that shaped his story—Bessemer, Alabama; California; Washington, D.C. (where he resided for five years following Hurricane Katrina); and ultimately Gulfport, Mississippi, where he made his home around 2003.
Known for his love of bowling, Mr. Allison was an avid bowler who enjoyed both the sport and the camaraderie it brought. More than anything, he was a man of principle—valuing good order, discipline, and the structure that guided his daily life.
At the age of 91, Mr. Allison remained strong and in good health until his peaceful passing on September 15, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi. His legacy is one of service, resilience, and a steadfast commitment to living with honor and integrity.
