Emmet Gilmore, Jr.

Emmet Gilmore Jr, 65, a resident of  Biloxi, MS, passed away on February 28, 2022, in Biloxi, MS. He passed away from a heart attack.
He was born in Crystal Springs, MS, October 23, 1956, the son of Emmet Gilmore Sr. and Alberta Robin. Emmet attended Carver High School in New Orleans, LA.
Emmet was married to Minnie Gilmore on May 1, 1981. 
Emmet spent his career working as a groundskeeper with the Gulf Coast VA Medical Center. He also enjoyed spending time with family and serving his community with the brothers and sisters in his organization. He was a long-standing member of The Masons, Eastern Star, House of Jericho, and Shriner Organizations. 
Emmet or Paw Paw as we called him was preceded in death by his Father Emmet Gilmore Sr., his mother, Alberta Robin, his Stepfather Albert Robin, 4 sisters, Barbara Ann, Deborah Curry, Wanda Tate, and Drusilla Tate, 2 brothers, Tyrone Tate, and Centanni “Button” Tate, 2 nieces Thaiwann and Kendricka, and 2 nephews, Tyrone Tate and Sykes Tate.
Emmet “Paw Paw” Gilmore is survived by Minnie Gilmore; 6 brothers, Basil Tate, Warren Tate, Bowman Robin, Albert Robin, Shafter Robin, and William Gilmore. 5 sisters, Micheline Wright, Singerton Tate, Elithia Nash, Triniece Robin, and Patricia Flowers.  He leaves behind his son Dorrie L. Hubbard and Stepdaughter Daphne Sandifer; and 5 grandchildren, Taeshia Tyler, Antonio Sandifer, Davonte Sandifer, Dionjanay Williams, and Brenden Dixon-Whittle, 4 great-grandchildren, Aveary Sandifer, Chaz Tyler Jr. Davonte Sandifer Jr., and Charlee Amor Tyler. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends. 
Funeral services for Emmet Gilmore Jr. will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2021" at 11:00 AM and held at Infinity Funeral Home in Biloxi, MS.
