David Dallas Johnson, Jr.

Retired Senior Master Sargent David D. Johnson, Jr., the oldest son of the late Reverend David & Rosella Johnson, was born on July 17, 1927, in Ocean Springs, MS. On May 25, 2016, Dave was called home to be the Lord. At the age of 15, the family moved to Chicago, where David graduated from Elgin High School. David moved on to the U.S. Army for 12 years in communications. He then joined the U.S. Air Force and the Air Force Reserves for 18 years in transportation. David retired from Fort Sheridan and moved back to Mississippi. David met and married Ann Robinson in 1956 and to that union were born three children. He was preceded in death by Ann R Johnson. David leaves to cherish his memory, a son, David D. Johnson III; two daughters, Carol (William) Bryant and Lisa Noel; one sister, Ardealia C. Johnson; two grandsons, Michael & James; two granddaughters, Myesha Ivy & Merisa (Calvin) Dell ; 11 great grandchildren; one great-grand neice, Rosella of Waukegan, IL.
