- “Trust in the LORD with all your heart

and lean not on your own understanding;

6 in all your ways submit to him,

and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Caretta Dantley-Hall, a beloved resident of Macon, GA, passed away on 10/12/25 at the age of 49. A true embodiment of generosity, Caretta believed wholeheartedly in the power of giving. Her kindness extended far beyond her personal relationships; she was a steadfast encourager and motivator within her community.

Throughout her life, Caretta served as a pillar of support, taking on significant civic roles. She led fundraising efforts for organizations such as the American Heart Association, United Way, and the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Association. She also held positions on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Jackson, George, and Green Counties, as well as the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Association.

With a career spanning over 30 years in banking and finance, Caretta found fulfillment in coaching and mentoring others on their financial journeys. She earned Bachelor’s Degrees in Business Marketing Management and Psychology from Macon State College and began pursuing an Executive Master’s Degree at Tulane University.

Caretta was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, known for her beautiful spirit and willingness to help anyone in need. Her radiant smile could light up any room, and she served as a Praise and Worship Leader, expressing her deep love for God at Family of Faith Christian Church of Biloxi, MS where C.J. Johnson is the presiding Pastor and Bishop Michael Barringer, the overseer. She lived life fully, cherishing moments with family and friends.

Although Caretta is no longer with us physically, her spirit will forever reside in our hearts. She is survived by her husband, Kevin Hall; her daughter, Valencia Jefferson; her grandson, Adrian Stokes, Jr.; her sister, Rachel Taylor; and her nieces and nephews: Keosha Taylor, Derek Taylor, Tobias Sims, Alicia Sims, LaTressa Taylor, Tiesha Taylor, DeAndre Taylor, and DeQundre Harper. She is also survived by her loving aunts, Betty Brown and Annie Lois Ellis and her loving in-laws, Aggrey Foster and Yvonne Heslop-Foster and host of other relatives.

Caretta was preceded in death by her parents, Amos “Mickey” Dantley and Lillie Dixon Dantley, as well as her grandparents, Ralph Dixon and Frankie Dixon.
