Allen C. Pickens, age 74, passed away on February 14, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, strength, and joy. On Valentine’s Day, he was lovingly reunited with his beloved wife, Glendora, whom he cherished deeply.

Allen was born on March 5, 1951, in Philadelphia, Mississippi, to the late A.C. Pickens and Annie Mae Viverette Pickens.

He was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Glendora Pickens, and together they shared 39 beautiful years of marriage before her passing. Their bond was one of devotion, love, and commitment that remained strong through every season of life.

Allen was a man who truly loved life. No matter what challenges came his way, he carried joy in his spirit and peace in his heart. He was a devoted servant of God, and his faith was evident not only in his words, but in the way he lived. Even while facing pain of his own, Allen consistently encouraged others and remained a source of hope and inspiration to everyone around him.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sharing conversations and laughter that will forever be cherished. Allen also found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, including fishing, working on cars, and spending quality time with those he loved most.

Though Allen suffered an injury from an accident, he refused to allow it to define him. Instead, he continued to live with determination and purpose, remaining a devoted husband and loving father.

During his working career, Allen was employed as a shipfitter with Ingalls Shipbuilding, and he also worked with Barq’s Bottling, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

Allen leaves to cherish his precious memories his two sons, Allen D. Pickens and Kevin Pickens; his loving siblings, Ida Roberts, Ruthie Talley, Henry Pickens, and R.L. Pickens; along with a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones who will miss him dearly.

Allen C. Pickens will be remembered for his joyful spirit, his unwavering faith, and the love he poured into everyone around him. Though he is no longer with us in body, his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held in private.
