Willie James Richardson, �Richard,� passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at the Gentiva Hospice Center in Decatur. GA. He spent his last two months of life in the Atlanta Area with his niece and caregiver. Willie was the widower of Halloween Bullock Richardson. His only child, Willie Jean Shelby, also preceded him in death. Willie served in the United States Air Force during World War II and was discharged at Keesler Air Force Base. He resided in Biloxi for over 60 years. During his working career, Willie worked on construction sites all over the Biloxi/Gulfport area. Willie leaves to cherish his memory a sister, Nettie Mae Seals of Memphis, TN; a devoted niece, Mary Richardson Mohead (Osker), of Ellenwood, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, a brother-in-law, relatives and friends. Willie James Richardson will lie in state on Wednesday, December 4, from 10:00-10:55 a.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church, 255 Main Street, Biloxi, MS with the Funeral Ceremony at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Kenneth Hollins is officiating. Interment will follow with military honors at 12:30 p.m. in the Biloxi National Cemetery. The family of Mr. Willie James Richardson has entrusted his care to the professional staff of Richmond-August Funeral Home.
