Terry Weathersby

Terry Weathersby “WEB” was born on January 10, 1953, in Biloxi, MS at Howard Memorial Hospital. He was baptized at an early age and was a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church under the late Reverend A.A. Dickey. Later, he attended First Baptist Church, Hansboro, Pastor S.V. Adolph. Finally, becoming a member of Family of Faith Christian Church, Woolmarket, Pastor Glenn Johnson where he faithfully served on the Praise Team. Terry attended A.E. Perkins Elementary and later M.F. Nichols Jr. and Sr. High Schools. He furthered his education at Jackson State University and later joined the U.S. Marine Corps where he served in Okinawa, Japan. After his return home, Terry spent time visiting with his sister and other relatives in Los Angeles honing in on his culinary skills which included turkey frying during Thanksgiving and of course becoming a barbeque king; later being proud chefs on the Mississippi Gulf Coast along with his childhood and life-long friend Donald Washington, Jr. Terry later moved to Atlanta however, returned home to Biloxi after Hurricane Katrina. Thereafter, he took great interest in community service helping with the care of the elderly; such as assisting with their grocery shopping needs, transportation to voting precincts during elections, etc. He had a heart for giving and loving others through his selflessness. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Weathersby, Sr and brothers, Larry and Donald Weathersby. He leaves to mourn his three children: Christopher Reddix, Paige Weathersby-Cormier and Terry Weathersby, Jr. Three grandchildren: LaDarius Johnson, William Elan Cormier, and Braden Wayne Cormier. Three sisters and two brothers: Carolyn Weathersby-Johnson (Glenn) of D’Iberville, MS, Kathy Weathersby-Nobles (Joseph) of Mobile, AL, Marilyn Weathersby-Correia (Stanley) of Biloxi, MS, Douglas Weathersby (Ann) of Jackson, MS, and Jerome Weathersby, Jr. (Magdalene) of D’Iberville, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to Richmond August Funeral Home.
