Susie Woods

Mother Susie Woods was born on October 30, 1943, in Seminary, MS to the late Bessie and Ezra Woods. The family soon relocated to Gulfport, MS where Susie was raised. Susie Woods attended and graduated from the historic 33rd High School, class of 1962. Mother Susie Woods accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. She was a devoted member of New Testament Pentecostal Church under the leadership of Bishop Willie Williams. She was an adored member of the Mother’s Board. As a young woman, Susie was employed at Memorial Hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant and later moved on to the Veteran’s Affairs where she worked until retirement. After living a happy and fulfilled life, Mother Susie Woods was called home on January 7, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Pamela Dickerson; two brothers, Ledrew and Willie Woods; three sisters, Mary Alice Woods, Mildred Buckley, and Martha Magee. Mother Susie Woods leaves to cherish her memory two children, Kelli and Kimberly Woods; a very special grandson, Caleb Woods; three sisters, Ms. Winnie Holloway, Ms. Carolyn (Eddie) Sampson, and Ms. Mary Louise Jordan, all of Gulfport, MS; a brother, Claude (Janet) Lott, of Baytown, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
