Melvin Galloway

Melvin Galloway Jr., 66, a resident of Bay St. Louis, Mississipi, passed away July 28, 2015 at the Boyington Nursing Home in Gulfport, MS. Melvin was born in Kiln, MS, on March 9, 1949. He was the son of the late Melvin and Alberta Galloway, Sr. Melvin graduated from Valena C. Jones School in Bay St. Louis, MS. Melvin spent his working career with the City of Bay St. Louis working as a laborer. He enjoyed gambling at the casino, playing bingo, and watching football. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, brothers, James Galloway, Jesse Galloway; and sister, Catherine Galloway. Melvin, also known as Preacher or Honeydripper, is survived by his daughter, Geneva Mitchell; three sisters, Clara Galloway, Ida Galloway, and Gracie Galloway; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Services for Mr. Melvin Galloway will be Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM with visitation an hour before at Triumph the Church and Kingdom of Christ, Bay St. Louis, MS. The family of Melvin Galloway have entrusted his care to the professional staff at Richmond-August Funeral Home.
