James Little Jr.

James Little Jr. 68, a resident of Biloxi, MS passed away on August 18, 2020, at Merit Health. He was born in Port Gibson, MS on July 17, 1952. The son of James and Bertha Little. James attended A.W. Watson High School. James met the love of his life, Lenda Thomas on November 24, 1978. The connection was immediate and life-changing. Their love would stand the test of time. James and Lenda were united in holy matrimony on August 15, 2008. A hard-working man who loved his family, James spent his working career in Port Gibson, MS as a carpenter. James loved to go fishing, spend time with family, and was an active member of his church. James was preceded in death by his parents James and Bertha Little, brother Vernon Little and sister Florene Little. James “Red” is survived by his wife, Lenda Little; two brothers, Leon (Cassandra) Little, and Bennie Earl Little; three sisters, Hazel Little, Linda Wilson, and Alice (John) Coleman all from Port Gibson, MS; nine children, Bertha (Raimndo) Parker, Syrentia(Adam) Holton all of Biloxi, MS; Christian (Tameka) Thomas of Ocean Springs, MS; Willie (Tamara) Bingham III of Jackson, MS; LaGregory Little, James Little III, and Sheron (Little) Stevenson all of California; Clarence (Krystal) Washington of Georgia; and Stacy Truit of Kansas City, MO; twenty-four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews; along with a special brother-in-law, Otis Thomas, and a special sister-in-law, Brenda Johnson. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 27, 2020, at Church of God in Prophecy Church, 2325 14th Ave. Gulfport, MS. Visitation will begin at 1:00.
