Bobbie N. Cooks

Bobbie Nell Cooks, 79, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away December 22, 2014 at Biloxi Regional Medical Center in Biloxi, MS. She was born June 22, 1935 to the late Clint and Mozell Booth in Collins, MS. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Albert Cooks, her loving sisters Maudie Mae Luvene and Evera Jean Booth Collins. At an early age, Mrs. Cooks accepted The Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior. She was a faithful member of Main Street Missionary Baptist Church until her health declined. Mrs. Cooks was a pillar of the community, well-known for her "pecan candy" and the love that she shared with anyone in her presence. In her leisure time she enjoyed her garden, sitting on her porch with family and friends, and creating laughter. Mrs. Cooks is survived by her six children Ollie Joyce (Jimmy Ray) Williams, Lola Mae Moore, Evera Diane Cooks, Billie Jean Cooks, Bobby Earl (Deborah) Cooks, and Francis Marie Ashton all of Biloxi, MS; two sisters, Wilma Moore of Collins, MS and Annie Lee Bullard of Hamilton, OH; twenty-three grandchildren; forth-four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Biloxi Regional Medical Center and to everyone who kept her in their thoughts and prayers throughout this trying time. The family of Mrs. Bobbie N. Cooks has entrusted her care to the professional staff of Richmond-August Funeral Home.
