Bernice Knight

Mrs. Bernice W. Knight was born on January 28, 1940, in Montgomery, Alabama, to the late Fred and Emma Webster. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Eartis C. Knight on March 28, 1963. They were married for 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Eartis C. Knight; her brothers; Joe Nathan Webster, Lee Edward Ledyard, Willie James Webster; her sisters; Luretha Fairley, Eloise Webster, Freddie Mae Webster, Dorothy Crain, and Johnnie Mae Woulard. She was united with the St James Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Joseph Simpson, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for the junior girl�s class, a Mission member, Choir member and a member of the Mother�s Board. She also served as Treasurer for the United Mission and was a member of the Eastside Garden Club. Mrs. Knight was employed with Turnbull Enterprise for 15 years as a spot welder. She departed this life on Sunday, June 26, 2011. She will be sadly missed but always remembered by her three daughters: Deborah Dawson of Dallas, TX; Alandra Knight and Shunda Knight both of Gulfport, MS; one son: Eartis Andre Knight (Mary) of Lawtell, LA; two brothers: Arthur James Webster (Doris) and Leon Webster (Mary) both of Montgomery, AL; one sister: Emma Jean Cunning of Montgomery, AL; one aunt: Martha Williams of Montgomery, AL; one uncle: Charlie Duckworth (Mary) of Gulfport, MS; one brother-in-law: Curtis Knight (Marguerite); six sisters-in-law: Anna Mae Cook (Robert) and Audrey Conerly both of Gulfport, MS; Grace Martin (Theodore) of Naples, FL; Sarah Ford of Mount Clemens, MI; Rosie Webster, Calialotta Ledyard both of Montgomery, AL; six grandchildren: Chloe�, Melanie, Immanuel, Donivan, Ondrea and Asia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 2, 2011; visitation from 1:00 - 2:00 pm with service beginning at 2:00. The family has entrusted the final arrangements of their loved one to the caring professionalism of RICHMOND-AUGUST FUNERAL HOME, Biloxi (228) 436-6722.
